Medela Freestyle...how does it compare to the PISA?

Would you recommend it?

  • My friend has it and has had nothing but problems (but that could have been just hers/just had to get a new motor and battery after 3 months of use) with the freestyle. I love my pisa, and haven't had any problems.

  • I have a freestyle and I Love it!  The portability is great (I can move it upstairs, downstairs, and into the car easily).  I BF, but use the pump daily, too.

  • I started with a PISA and switched to a Freestyle around 8 months.  I love the Freestyle SO much more.  Its great to not be restricted while pumping and the thing is virtually weightless.  I wish I would have gone with one from the beginning!

  • having never used a pisa, i cannot compare the two.  however, i love my freestyle!  i can attach it to my waistband and go about business as usual getting ready in the AM.  I pump 6-12 oz per session at work with it, so it certainly seems to have a strong enough motor.  plus it takes up so little space that I can toss my lunch and work supplies in the medela bag as well.  I bought mine new on ebay for about 90 bucks cheaper that the retail rate, so definitely shop around for a good price!

  • Love my Freestyle too.  No complaints yet.

  • I have and love my FS.  It's so tiny, I love it.

    I never tried a PISA.

  • I am a very happy Freestyle owner. I would also recommend the Easy Expressions bustier, I literally strap this on and can go anywhere in the house (the other day I was vacuuming while pumping!) I pump 10 minutes at a time and get 6 oz or so.
