Hoping some one can clarify for me . . . In my past two pregnancies I've had swelling (I don't think anyone gets away without it) but it was mostly in my hands and feet.
Now I am swelling all the time but only in my calves, and it is so ridiculously painful all I feel is throbbing and tingling . . . Is this normal or alarming that it's not really anywhere else? TIA
Re: swelling Q's
Weird that it's only in your calves, but it's probably normal. Still, since it's swelling, I'd mention it to your doctor at your next visit. Meanwhile, I guess I'd just follow all the regular advice: put your legs up and drink lots of water.
I've had edema this entire last month and a half. It's terrible from my waist down. My blood pressure is completely normal though. I did everything the doctor suggested but it's just constant. I am so excited to see how much water weight I lose!
lots of swelling can be a very bad sign. I would mention it to the doc, especially since it seems to be causing you so much pain!
I have only ever had a little bit of swelling at the very end of my pregnancies. What your describing sounds nothing like what I have experienced.
