Caleb is colorblind :(

Last week I took Caleb for his 3 year appt. and Colten for his 9 month appt. (together, yes, and big mistake) and the Dr. did a color test on Caleb and he didn't pass! I have thought he was colorblind for a while b/c the child is so freakin smart but always gets his colors mixed up. This makes me so sad for some reason.

Also, you know the questionairre they give you to fill out? Well, Colten was borderline on the communication and problem solving part :( Just bored at work with nothing to do so I wanted to vent my recent frusteration.

Re: Caleb is colorblind :(

  • : (  I imagine that's hard to hear.  In the long run, though, lots of people do just fine with colorblindness.  He's young and can adapt.  I can definitely understand your frustration, though.

  • Oh I am so sorry. While it's not the end of the world for him I can totally understand your frustation ... I would be very sad too. ((hugs!))

  • I agree with the pps, while it isn't the worst news, it isn't what you are wanting to hear. ((hugs))
  • Aww.  I'm sorry you are frustrated.  I agree with pps.  I would probably feel the same way.

  • Go you for the undertaking of 2 appts at the same time!  I would have been upset too :(
  • Ditto what everyone else says.  That would upset me, but not the end of the world.  Just something he'll have to adjust to.
