Mine is on Sunday, and I'm just going to give the hostesses the gifts at the end, when all the other guests have left. I'm also planning to write them each a note and mail it to them afterwards.
I was going to wing it. I will have mine ready for the shower, but didn't decide before or after. Leaning on after the shower is over and during clean up, but will go with the flow day of.
Since my first shower was a surprise I sent my MIL and SIL their gifts a few days after the shower. I sent them both an edible arrangement and they LOVED them.
SIL didn't give ME a gift when I hosted HER shower.
I don't actually care. It was fun!
I plan to do flowers. Something simple. I co-hosted with my other SsIL. (there are 4 of us total). Those two bought me flowers because I actually had it at MY house and did all the food, which was the most work. So they bought me flowers, which was nice, but I didn't expect anything.
I will just bring them and put them in a vase right when I get there.
Most of us will show up a little early for the shower, so I would probably give them the gift right away and tell them how much I appreciate it. If you wait till after, you have to worry about how long everyone wants to stay, cleaning up, etc. I'd rather take the time when I have the time.
I thought I would give them their gifts as I did the whole "thank you all for coming and being part of this special occasion" speech. Does no one else do those?
Re: Baby Shower Ladies
I was wondering this too, mine is tomorrow.
::waits for answers::
I did mine after the shower after most of the guests had left.
I didn't want to interupt them while they were busy getting things ready.
