Diarrhea before labor? (TMI)

I read that diarrhea/nausea is a sign you will go into labor soon. Well I have been having that this morning, but that is the only sign. How early to you have it before going into labor? Could this mean labor is about to start?

It can be, but it's by no means a guarentee

You can start doing that days or even weeks before labor. It's not reliable just on it's own.

I can be a sign of labor, but it can also just mean that you have diarrhea. ?You`ll just have to wait and see...

yes and no. I definitely had a difference before DD#1 was born. But like pp said, by itself, it's not a sign.

I've heard that too.  Who knows though if it's true.

I had diarrhea while I was IN labor.  Not before.  And I was glad (in retrospect) that I was at home.

This was definitely a sign for me, but I was already having contractions.

It could be.  You will have to see if other symptoms start too.  If it's not, I hope you feel better soon.

It can be.  It was for me last time, but I didn't realize it until after the fact.  I had loose stools the day before my water broke.

It can be-with my first I was in the bathroom constantly the last few days leading up to labor. The theory behind it is supposedly that your body relaxes and "flushes" everything out in preparation for delivery..but who really knows.
