Exercise Ball at work...

I highly recommend it. I have severe back problems... had the pre-PG. My back started to get really bad this week and sitting still at my desk has been near to impossible without pain.

I am now sitting on my exercise ball in a squat with my hips in a more natural open position. TALK ABOUT RELIEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So worth it. Try it!

  • before i got pregnant i always wanted to bring mine in and sit on it- to impove my core, but i was a little shy about it being the only one doing that. turns out there is a girl on another floor using hers in her cube! i found this out last week!

i brought mine in yesterday to prop up my swollen feet while at my desk. it took a few hours to get things under control- i don't have a base for my ball so it rolls and my chair doesn't have a lock to prevent it from swiveling so there was an adjustment period, but i'm loving being reclined, feet up and working today!

i sent the other girl with the ball a 'thank you' e-mail and told her she was my inspiration. she thanked me back for not making her the only 'weirdo' in the building!

  • Are your co-workers looking at you funny? haha
  • thank god I work from home. although the suggestion was from a coworker who works in the office. i try to stay in my office so i am focused but i think that is going to end quickly. nothing is comfortable unless im laying on my side.
  • The office has given me many passes to do things while pregnant, but sitting on the ball at my desk is not one of them.  They say it is very unprofessional for the receptionist not to be sitting on a professional chair.  Super Angry
  • oh! I wonder if I can get away with this....

  • The first thing I thought of when I read your post was the episode of "The Office" where Dwight is sitting on an exercise ball at his desk and Jim pops it with a scissors. Hilarious! I'm sure the ball helps with the back pain, though. Sitting on a ball is also supposed to help the baby get in the right position for birth (face toward your back).?
