I'll be 31 weeks this weekend and the past few weeks I've been feeling off - getting lightheaded and nauseous if I stand too long, dizzy, winded, need to sit down if I walk up a flight of stairs. I was at my parents house this past weekend telling my mom and I was concerned maybe my BP was too high b/c that's what happened with my son. So we took my BP and it was actually really low. Think I should be concerned? How can you treat it, if at all? I have a dr. appt. tomorrow and I'm going to bring it up, but just curious if anyone else has the same problem...
Re: Low Blood Pressure?
It is normal for your BP to go down during pregnancy. Mine has been running as low as 80's/40's and the doc is not concerned. He just said change positions slowly, try not to bend with my head down, etc.
I would mention it at your appt tomorrow, but dont think it's cause for concern.
What do you consider low? Tell me what your BP was.
I have always had low BP... it always freaks out the nurses that are looking after me. My doctor told me that it's the lower number that is important. They don't like it to get below 50, I think. Maybe 45... I can't quite remember.
A "normal" BP for me (even pregnant) is about 95/50 - sometimes lower.
