This is my second baby in less than 2 years, you would think I would be use to this..however my first came at 35 weeks with water breaking on its own..no contractions ahead of time, nothing! Anyway, this baby has been sitting really low the entire time, and lately I have been having horrible contractions. They are pretty much constant..I was in L&D on Friday night and they gave me 2 rounds of terbulidine to stop the contractions. Sent me home. Then yesterday I was back in the doc's office hooked up the monitor..had 3 large contractions in less than 15 minutes, and then small ones in between..however NOTHING to my cervix! I have been at 1CM since week 33 and lost my MP around that time too. I am too far along now for terbulidine, and not far enough for them to induce. (I am 36 weeks 4 days).
Any advice on how to deal with the pain..it is pretty much constant. I asked my OB yesterday and she said feet up and drink lots of water. I am at work now with feet up, and on what I feel likes gallon 2 of water today and nothing. I guess just suck it up right?? Anyone else experience this?
Re: Contraction Pain..Advice??
If staying home isnt an option, I dont know how much relife you'll get at work. Maybe a heating pad and Tylenol along with the water and feet up. I know they wont do much to help but maybe it will take the edge off.

Almost the only relief I get is from my bed....laying on the couch isn't even good enough! The bath did give me *some* relief last night. Typically my contractions change when I change what I am doing, maybe you could get up and walk around every once in a while or something like that?
hang in there, you'll have your baby in your arms before you know it!
