That Bristol Palin and her fiance broke up?? ?I felt their engagement was set up because of the election and not sure either one of them really wanted to be forced into getting married. ?I can honestly say that I am not at all surprised that they're not going through with the wedding. ?With that said, I do hope they both continue to play a very active role in their 2 month old son's life!!!

Well, I wonder when it actually happened. ?They interviewed her fiance and he said they decided "a while ago" to end things.?

I think it happens with quite a few teen moms and dads. They think it's for the best to get engaged/married. I have 2 cousins that got pregnant at 16. One was about to get married when the dude flaked out which ended up being a great thing. The other just had her baby and is still thinking her and the father are getting married. We're all hoping that they don't. It's just not a good situation. At least Bristol and the guy figured it out now and not after they got married.

Nope, not surprised at all and I'm glad they didn't go through with it. Sadly there's a high divorce rate among young people that get married for the sake of the baby. Don't get me wrong, I know some make it, but not a ton. As long as they both stay active in their son's life I think he'll do ok.
