I read your weight post. Let me share my experience with you. I am also 5'1" and weighed around 130 pp (both times). With my first pg, I was afraid to exercise b/c I was afraid it would hurt the baby (yes, I know this is ridiculous, but it's how I felt). I didn't eat terribly, but I didn't diet either. I ended up gaining 65lbs. total. Thanks to eating healthier post-baby and exercising 4-5 x per week once I was cleared at 6 weeks, I lost it all within 5 months. This time, I set out to gain less, but I've had no such luck. I have been eating worse this time, but that's life. Don't be too hard on yourself. You CAN lose it after. You WILL get back to where you need to be with dedication and work. Very few women I've met in real life live up to the 25lb. expectation. It seems to be a Nest phenomenon. Even my ob. gained way more than that (and she hasn't lost is 10 yrs. later). Just remember, you're not fat b/c you're fat, you've gained weight b/c you're growing a baby. Yes, there is more weight than baby, but a lot of it is water and baby. You could leave the hospital 20lbs. lighter, which I did. Just make sure you're eating fruits, veggies, and other healthy foods and keep reminding yourself that this isn't forever. ![]()
