infant cereal

Did you mix BM or water with infant cereal?  Did your DC seem to have a preference?  We're starting cereal this weekend and I was wondering what I should do.  Thanks.

I used milk so that it would be more appealing to him.  I have had friends use water as well if they didn't pump.

I started out with BM then moved to adding fruit or veg instead when DS had moved to eating fruits and veg's.

I use BM. As the pp stated, I think it helps with the flavor and she gets more nutrients than compared to using water.

I started mixing it with BM, but switched to water because I just don't pump enough "extra" a day other than what she gets in bottles at daycare.  She doesn't always finish the cereal, especially now that she also gets fruits and veggies, so I didn't want to be wasting any of the BM.  She seems to like the cereal either way, though.  I nurse her before giving her solids, so I'm not concerned that she's getting any less BM per day.
