Re: if you had cervical issues - what were your symptoms?

  • Nothing. ?I was admitted after my routine 23w check-up showed 1 cm w/funneling. ?My appointment 2w prior was fine. ?I made it to 35w6d (probably would have gone longer, but I was induced due to elevated bp) w/bedrest. ?
  • I had some interesting discharge that I thought was my mucous plug but my OB swore it wasn't b/c it was so early and I had no signs of change..HA. A week and a half later I was 4 cm dialated with bags of waters for Baby A hanging out....the day I went to the hospital, I THOUGHT I was having contractions, but wasn't sure....I sure was. :(

Other than that, no sign of issues.

  • I had no symptoms. I went in at 3 in the afternoon the day after my normal u/s when my cervix was 3.8 because something didn't feel right - the doc said everything was fine. At 8pm I was not convinced - went to L&D and they said I'd gone from the 3.8 the previous day to 0 - fully effaced. That was it - I was in the hospital till delivery- 4 weeks. Fun fun fun. You just can't ever tell-but if you have a "funny feeling" your intuition could very well be right - trust it!
  • i had no symptoms.  went in for a rountine u/s and a cervical check i requested at 16.5 weeks and was dilated and effaced...recuse cerclage the next day and on strict bedrest for now.
  • I started getting BH really early... like around 11 weeks or so, and was having them several times a day.  I also had horrible "lightning crotch" starting around 18 weeks.  My 20 week u/s showed funneling but my cervix was still over 4cm.  My 22 week u/s (scheduled because of the funneling) showed that I was just below 1.5cm.  I had a cerclage placed the next day and was able to carry them until 37w2d.
  • Unfortunately no signs. Was in for a routine exam and my cervix shortened from 3.5 to 2.7 cm within 2 weeks. My doctor was also noticing that I was having contractions during the exam. Never felt a thing.
