Spotting after cervical check?
I had a cervical scan today and a manual check after increased BH. My cervix was 3.5 cm and closed. I noticed when I went to the bathroom a few minutes ago, that I had a little bit of brown spotting when I wiped and a tiny spot in my underwear. I've had a raw cervix at 16 weeks, where they said that the outside of my cervix was irritated and causing a little spotting. So, I'm not incredibly worried, just curious if anyone else has had spotting after a cervix check?? If it's not gone by tomorrow I'll call the doc and it wasn't mucousy, so I'm assuming it isn't my MP?!? Sound normal? Happen to anyone else?

Hi Sarah! I was just getting ready to respond to your other post, too. I had a cervical u/s every week once I went on bedrest and I had spotting (brown, just when I wiped) after every one -- sometimes lasting for over a day. Once I started to actually dilate (and I'd get a finger check in addition to the u/s), my spotting was even worse (more red, seeing on a liner, etc), but my OB & MFM always said it was totally normal.
As for my length, you are doing great (at least by what I went through!). At my big u/s at 20 weeks mine measured at 4 which the tech called "rock star" . . . three weeks later it was down to 1.8. So I'd say being at 3.5 still is awesome! You are doing great! Hang in there!
