1st Trimester

The hunger is getting out of control.

Last night I had a ginormous dinner of chicken and pea risotto (yum!) and a bowl of strawberries for dessert.  A few hours later, I was starving again so I had a big bowl of meusli (sorta like granola, but not toasted).  I finally had to just go to bed so I could stop eating.

Then I woke up at 2am and was so fricken hungry that I had to get up and make something to eat AGAIN.  My hunger pains were so bad that it felt like my stomach was eating itself.  Then I got up again at 6am and had to have ANOTHER big bown of meusli.  WTF?

I'm really trying to watch what I eat, because I gain weight SO easily, but my stomach seriously has other plans.  I try to drink lots of water and eat as healthy as I can, but I'm just constantly starving!  It has really hit me hard this week.  Blah.

  • My sig speaks for itself. Try eating something with protein before bed that will hold you longer (pb&j, certain muffins, etc). I keep a stash of food by my bed for this reason.

  • I completely understand this.  I was so hungry the first few weeks, it was literally painful.  Everytime I finished eating I was ravenously hungry again shortly later.  It beats nausea though.  I did pay the price with the weight I have gained so far though.  Just try to eat nutrient and fiber rich foods to fill you up.  GL!
  • Uh - I just stuffed myself with carrots and cheese while continuing to battle indigestion. Now it's worse. Yet I continue to be hungry.

    And the cycle continues.

  • I keep pb crackers by my bed because I was sick of walking downstairs to the kitchen.  Makes it better and they are yummy.
  • I'm trying to ignore the knawing hunger.  If I eat now, I have to feed my toddler too.  I don't want to spoil her dinner.  Maybe I'll sneak into the kitchen....
