or else I'm never going to be able to haul a baby, or worse, a baby IN a car seat all over the place! I have no upper body strength. Well...at least I have 8 months to get my arms and shoulders buff...right?
I was just thinking this the other day! I don't know how people do it. I think I've permanently injured my back with just my purse! That's pretty sad. In my defense, I carry an absurdly heavy purse.
I bought 3 lb weights and 2.5 leg weights to do some light exercises. I haven't had the energy to work out this week but I hope to start it up tomorrow!
You'd be amazed how much you can actually handle after the baby is born. I was around 100lbs with very little arm strength with my first and he weighed 9lbs 2oz when born. He gained weight fast but somehow I managed to carry him in the car seat carrier, the diaper bag, my purse and other stuff with no problems. Sometimes when I had to hold him for a long time I would lean him on my hip... but I managed. I'm sure you will be fine!
Re: I have GOT to start working out my arms...
I used to be able to do 20 push-ups now I can barely do 5
?I'm right there with you.
But I've been practicing so hopefully I'll be ready by the time baby comes

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one!
Z - I wondered if maybe having the baby grow incrementally allowed your strength grow with the baby...I'm hoping so!
OMG, have you picked up a carrier alone? ?Those are fricking heavy!
We should have a buff arms group.
