**AnnapolisLari**

imageAnnapolisLari:

I wish I'd had a second shower, tacky or not. I am thinking of gluing together the 2 pages of the baby book that are for a baby shower, since they are blank, and I really don't want her to ask why.

This poor kid didn't get even one handmade gift from anyone, and DS has 3 handmade blankets and a knit outfit. I think poor DD got screwed. :-(

Glad you had a good time.

I have to agree (I'm having a pitty party pg day today) - I feel horrible in DS#2's baby book that all of the shower and gift pages are totally blank (and will stay that way).  I'm sure our moving cross-country didn't help the situation, but it does seem a bit sad that one child's entry into this world is so celebrated, and another's "just happens."   Blah...

I started knitting a sweater for DS#2 but of course it's unfinished (meanwhile DS#1 had a new sweater, blanket, booties, three hats, etc, etc.)  Blah again...

Poor kiddos.   Just wanted you to know you weren't alone in your feelings - it's certainly nice to know I'm not the only one.

Tell Bubbly to start knitting for DD! :)

  • I felt awful typing that, because it seems so ungrateful for the gifts that she DID receive. But those blank pages in the book just jump right out at me every time I open it to fill something in. I hate it.

As you say, it doesn't help that this time we're living at my mom's, our house is barely sold, and we'll be moving eventually.

I'm serious about the gluing together thing... they are facing pages, and it would work. I have acid free double sided tape. Maybe I'll do that today.
