Does anybody remember the "All of a Kind Family" books about the Jewish family in NYC in the early 1900s? One of the daughters was Henrietta and they called her Henny. She was my favorite character (she was the troublemaker) and I have loved that name ever since.
However, I decided that I could never use it. I think it's too old-fashioned and I am afraid a little Henrietta would have a hard time these days.

OMG thank you so much!!! I loved that book when I was little (didn't realize there was more than one), and for the past few weeks I've been driving myself nuts trying to remember what they were called! So glad I opened this post

Yay! I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I think there are three or four books. All-of-a-kind Family Uptown, All-of-a-kind Family Downtown and a couple more. They're really good books.
Re: How about Henrietta?
Actually, I love it. It's one of my favorites.

I'm not a fan.
I also associate it with Henrietta Pussycat from Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. But hey, my opinion shouldn't really matter!

I thought of Henrietta Pussycat as well.
