I'm going to use cloth. I haven't decided exactly what kind of cloth yet though. There are so many different styles and options, it's very confusing. It's a good thing I have 9 months to figure it out!!
Definately going with disposable diapers but not sure what brand yet. I have worked in daycares so I know to avoid the cheapest ones. The idea of cloth diapers just grosses me out, but I know lots of people who love using them.
Cloth. I'm thinking mostly prefolds, but we'll see how it goes.
I've actually heard bad things about gdiapers- at least as expensive as disposables, not as environmently friendly or as good at containing messes as cloth. They also apparently don't work well with older plumbing/septic systems (not sure exactly which or how, the ladies on the eco-friendly family board could probably help more).
We'll use disposable, but probably Seventh Generation or another biodegradable kind. We live in an apartment without washer/dryer, so cloth diapers just won't work!
"For a long time there were only your footprints & laughter in our dreams & even from such small things, we knew we could not wait to love you forever."
We're going to be using a service for the cloth diapers. Trust me, cleaning them kind of grosses me out too. Even with the service it's cheaper than disposable, at least in our area.
Heads up to whoever said that seventh generation were biodegradable. They're not. They are just chlorine free.
We'll be doing some combination of cloth and g-diapers. And while there is a fairly reasonable diaper service in our area, I think I'll just be washing them myself. I honestly don't find the whole thing all that gross.
I used disposables with DS#1, cloth with DS#1 (prefolds, AIO, and pockets), and will use cloth again (actually along) with DC#3. Cleaning the cloth yourself is not really as bad as some of you imagine. You're not sitting there dunking diapers in the toilet all day and I only was an extra load of laundry for them every 2-3 days.

Pampers.
PSA of gdiapers. ?They're not good for your toilet & if you have a septic system, forget about it.
Just an fyi. ?The huz works in that industry & when I showed him gdiapers as a possibility, he was adament against them.?

Disposable.
We are going to start with the Pampers Swaddlers. When DD outgrew them (they only go to size 2, i think), we were pretty disappointed!
