I know some people don't believe in this...(semi-long)

but my aunt has a friend that can "read" people. Believe me, I am not one who believes in psychics and ghosts necessarily, but you can't argue with this guy's accuracy. He is a retired cop and for many years would suppress his ability because he didn't want to be able to do it, but since retiring earlier this year has been bored and practicing more often because he'd like to do it again easily. As an example of something he's read recently, my aunt was over having dinner when he asked her how my mom was doing. My aunt said fine and he asked if she's been sick. My aunt said she  hadn't seen my mom in about a week and wasn't sure, but she didn't think so. Well, actually my mom had a bad cough. He told my aunt that there was something wrong with my mom's left lung and that it was treatable, but that she really needed to go to the doctor. So my aunt calls my mom, my mom makes and appointment the next day, and...she has bronchitis. Maybe that doesn't really sound that impressive, but I think it's a big coincidence if not real.

So I semi-jokingly told my aunt to ask him if he could read me and tell me what the baby was going to be next time she saw him. She called today and this is what happened:

At dinner last night she told him I wanted to know if he could read me to find out the baby's sex. He said, "huh" and left at that for awhile. They had dinner and he was downstairs tinkering in the garage when he came back up and said, "What does Ashley want?" My aunt said, "I'm not sure, but [her mom] really wants a girl." He said, "Well, I think she's gonna be disappointed this time around because I see a boy." He then asked if DH was smart and my aunt said yes, we both were pretty intelligent. He said, "I keep seeing a man and this man is really smart and it's the baby's father. This baby is a boy and he's going to be very intelligent." 

I feel like I just had an u/s! LOL, I know that sounds silly and there's still a 50/50 shot on the sex of our baby, but I really do put some stock in the things he tells us. In the past, he's never been wrong. So, yeah, I know some people are going to think this is bullsh!t, but I think it's fun and just wanted to share.

I'm not so sure I buy it..but it's definitely fun to think about!

Have fun with it in the meantime.

And some people do have a strong sense. That'll I'll agree with.

I agree. I went to a "intuitive" reader before (friend of a friend)....it was amazing that everything she said was right!!!

Can you tell him you know this really cool girl on your message board names KISSING and you would like to know what she is having??? LOL! That is cool, I like stuff like this, and if it's true you are in for a treat- boys are awesome!

I totally believe some people have very strong intuitions and a sense for things!

I bet you can't wait till the ultrasound to find out if its a little boy!

Even if you don't believe in this kind of thing its still fun!

And yes - boys are awesome!!  Make sure you follow-up and tell us what you are having!

 Time will fly and, before you know it, you'll be letting us know if he was right or not! How cool! I believe in that kind of stuff and that would be kind of neat to see someone like that!
