I have seen a few lists of items to bring to the hospital that I am abiding by, but I am curious...
Are any special items that you did bring/ are going to bring that aren't typically recommended on the hospital bag lists that will be/ were really great to have with you???
Re: Hospital Bag Items?
I agree. I think they tell you to bring too much. I will have pajama pants and a t-shirt or two and a sweatshirt (you never know what the weather will be doing in MN in April) along with socks and slippers. DH will have a pair or two of boxers and socks. Probably a magazine or two and some snacks.
For baby, we'll have the going home outfit and maybe one other outfit...maybe. We'll also bring the baby book. We might want to put something in there about what's going on that day, etc.
We'll have all of our toiletries, but the only reason we'll have that is because DH has a shaving/travel kit that he keeps packed year round. Then he knows that when we're paking for a trip or something he won't forget something. He'll just grab that on the way out the door. Otherwise we would bring toothbrushes and toothpaste and call it a day.
I'm packing what I'm sure will be too much (plan on packing the bag this weekend)...but I'll also be 1 1/2 hours from home.
DH also keeps being a bug in my ear that says "there are stores in the city you know." ....he'll say that until I sent him on a pad run or something...
