WWYD: Dress for events - sorry long

Hello ladies,

  I posted a rant a few days ago about this. Ok, the first part of my problme is that I am a planner and I hate to do things last minute.

I have two dressy events coming up in the next 3 wks - a bat mitzah (followed by a dinner and an evening of dancing), and a wedding (I'll be participating in the ceremony, but it is a casual affair - khakis and sandals welcome). 

 I have something that will probably work for the bat mitzvah, assuming that it  doesn't get too warm. Because I will be about 14 wks, I'm not sure if it will work for Vegas AND I may be too hot. Everything else that I own that is suitable, I look pg/bloated in.

Would you look for something now? Maternity or other or 

Would you wait?

Lastly, I don't want my ILs to notice that I am pg at the bat mitzvah, which is in a week.

The chances of your bump looking significantly different between now and a week are pretty slim.

I don't know if what you have now is extremely warm but if you think it is and would be uncomfortable, find something else.  I sincerely doubt you'll need a mat dress at 14 weeks.  If anything, the mat dress will make you look bigger than you are.

Good point. I am starting to look a little pg now, but only because of the bloat

Go with an empire waist dress then any PG looks you can blame on the dress, empire waist dresses always make me look PG even when I am not.
