After everyone kept talking about internals, I was really nervous when the MW said she was going to check me today.

It was soooooo not bad! I have a little bleeding now but there was less pain then the internal I had at nine weeks.

whew! what a relief!

I had an internal on Valentines' day, when I went to L&D, not pleasant. And the nurse forgot something, so when she ran out to get it, he didn't take the speculum out and it was just hanging out down there.

I was gripping the sheets and sweating.

This sounds agonizing...like to the point where I might want to rip it out and throw it at her when she came back.

The MW didn't use a speculum, so that was easier.

And she said the closer you get and even into labor, it will become less and less unpleasant, so that may have contributed to your pain.

Just don't panic and think it's always going to be that bad. The MW said she saw my face drop when she said she was going to check me!
