Does your 2 y/o ask "Why?"?

DD started doing this the other day. Every time I tell her to do something she asks "why?" and I say "because I said so (weak, I know) and then she says "why do you say so?" LOL It's cute now, but I'm sure that it will get old real quick.

  • Yes, I remember those days of endless questions.  Every answer to every question resulted in another question and if he didn't like my answer he would ask DH.

Now instead of asking why I want him to do something he says "that is the meanest thing you ever said" or "you are making me sadder than I have ever been in my whole life".

  • DS started doing that when he turned 3. ?It is sooooo annoying. ?It's one thing if it's a legitimate question, but most of the time he's just saying it to say something. ?

  • That's his favorite word! DH just says to him "Why not?" and he doesn't ask again!
