Anyone else on here have PCOS and have a baby on the way???

I have PCOS was diagnosed when I was 17.  I have taken Chlomid, and had Ovarian Drilling surgery and nothing helped us concieve.  We decided after 3yrs to adopt and a week after we had been picked by a young girl I took a test and got my first + test ever in my life!!!  It's been an exciting journey and we can't wait to meet our daughter that we have waited almost 8 years for!

I was only diagnosed March of 2007, after MANY years of pain, random periods and NO other answers. I had a cyst burst and thats when they finally diagnosed me. We tried since just before that to concieve and I was scheduled to start Clomid in November. We got our BFP on our own in Sept.

I have PCOS and have know about having it since I was 15 (I'm nearly 32).  Didn't really do anything to treat it (besides the pill) until we were TTC in 2004.  Got pregnant on my first round of Clomid/IUI with DS#1.  This time around I was on Metformin for over a year and I was able to conceive with solely that alone!!!    I'm off the Metformin now and they don't recommend it while breastfeeding.  I'm really happy with the PCOS specialist I found a few years ago - she has really made all the difference.

I was diagnosed in late 2003, and got pregnant with my twins (they just turned 4) after only one round of clomid.  This time around I was just taking Metformin, but I had lost about 30 pounds prior to that.  I'm planning on staying off the pill/metformin for about a year after this baby to breastfeed, and if I can keep my weight under control, may just try to stay med-free (including birth control, but we'll see.) Congrats to all of you!

I was diagnosed last year after getting the run-around with the doctor's at our Naval hospital who all said that me not having periods for 3 or 4 months at a time was "normal."  I finally went out in town for a second opinion and they actually performed some tests and ultrasounds and were able to diagnose me with PCOS.  This is a clomid baby and we're so grateful clomid worked for us.  I cannot imagine how hard TTC would have been if we had had no idea of me having PCOS . . . we could have tried for years with no success.  I'm glad I didn't listen to the doctors who said I was normal and went with my instincts.

I was diagnosed late 2007, but struggled for years. We are now happy to be 29w5d. Because of ins issues we were on our own. I also got the it's normal not to have a period talk.

went on the pill at 19 for irregular periods. in aug 2007 came off the pill to ttc.  didn't get my af for almost 3 months.  and were irregular for each one.  saw my ob that said i just needed to lose a few pounds and that nothing was wrong with me.  i knew something was so around april/may 2008 switched dr's and was diagnosed with pcos.  placed on metformin and lost 10 lbs in about 6 weeks.  after two rounds of clomid i got my bfp.

I do- there are tons of PCOS women on the SAIF board, too.

Both of my pregnancies (my DS and my twins) were thanks to clomid, metformin, IUI + trigger with the RE.   I had one m/c when i got pg on my own when we were still in the testing phase with the RE.

I was diagnosed at 17 went on bc to regulate my cycles About two months after we got married we went off bc and tried to get pregnant for a year. No such luck. I was convinced I'd never get pregnant. We went back on bc due to some changes with work and such. After being on bc 6 months, and losing my job in Aug. We found out in Sept. that we were pregnant. I was in denial for the first couple of weeks and very stressed. I am super excited to get to be a mom considering I  never thought I would be able to!
