Do any of you Twitter? I am addicted to it! I have it update my Facebook status for me automatically and it's a fun way to chat back and forth with people. I use it both for business networking and for communicating with friends. I also added a widget on my personal blog so that it posts my most recent Tweets. i gave up after myspace

everyone then moved to facebook, i dont even use my own facebook (i only chk it once every so often)....i cant keep up with all these new tech networking sites.

i think ill continue to stick to my blog and be in my own little world lol

I Twitter...for work but I end up posting my thoughts on all sorts of non-work things like the Bachelor.  It is so addictive.  How do you get it to update your Facebook page...I like that!

I twitter a lot of random photography/workish related things but I also twitter about my cute kid, my dog, Heroes and other tv shows, stuff like that. You can get it to update facebook by installing the twitter application. If you go to the apps section in Facebook and search for twitter, it should come up. It was not too difficult to set up if i remember correctly.

As for what Twitter IS exactly.. it is technically "microblogging" which is saying what you're doing or thinking in 140 characters or less. You can use it to communicate with others easily. It is not like facebook because it doesn't have all those apps and photos and other features, but you can post from your computer or phone. I typically use my iphone to post. You can also send photos to it via a service called Twitpic where the people following your twitter can click a link and see the image. This is not like facebook though, because it is not stored/shared the same way. It is more like a mini-blog post.  I like to share random moments of my day, different things I am offering with photography, thoughts that pop into my head, musings, stuff like that. It is just yet another fun way to communicate and network with people.

Most of my twitter friends are other photographers, wedding planners, and people in my industry. Then I have a chunk who are regular or online friends. Then I have another smaller chunk of twitter friends who found me on twitter through searches for common interests. I also have yet ANOTHER chunk of twitter friends who happen to be celebrities that I follow because I find it really interesting to see what they're up to.... like Greg Grunberg, Brea Grant (heroes people), Wil Wheaton (of Star Trek fame), Tom Felton (from Harry Potter movies), and there are lots of musicians on there like John Mayer, Dave Matthews, and more.
