DS is a wild man in his sleep lately, and last night he smacked his head so hard on the crib that he's got a big bruise. ?He's also woken himself from naps a few times lately because his leg is wedged in the bars. ?He rolls both ways easily and has great head control- my only concern is that when we tried bumpers before, he snuggled his face right up to it.
The breathable ones don't seem thick enough to protect him, so I'm talking about the thicker ones.?

Re: would you put bumpers in?
That's tough. While the risk of SIDS has dropped at his age, it still is a risk. However, if he moves a lot, that is a good sign too, that he would be able to move if need be. I'd maybe wait a little longer.

we use ours. I took it to the tailor & had ribbons put on the bottom to tie it closer to the crib.?
I had a ribbon sewn in at every spot there was a crib slat. You can also buy one that maybe isn't as thick as the one that came with your set.?
