S/O sleeping with blankets??

I had NO idea babies would get blankets this early? DD moves ALL over her crib. DH keeps asking when she can have a blanket in there. We dress her warm enough so I don't see the need.

If your LO gets a blanket, please explain. Where does the blanket end up? Surely they don't cover themselves back up if they are cold?

    For the first 6 months of DD I was by the book on everything and pretty much still am but she has slept with a blanket since 6 months.  My mom and MIL said she just seemed so lonely in the crib with nothing.  I tried a blanket with holes in it and not only did she lay down better at night it hasn't been a problem.  My DD moves all around.  If they are old enough to move around the are old enough to pull the blanket form their face if they can't breathe.

    He moves but not so much that his blankets are completely thrown off or anything.  We dress him in footed pajamas, too, so he's fine even if the blankets happen to come off.
