Since having a baby, I really want to make sure all of my cleaning products are eco friendly and healthy to have in the house. About half of our house is tile and I'm wondering what the best cleaner would be to use when I mop it. Currently, I use mostly Method products, but how green are they? Any recs for better brands?
Re: How 'green' are Method products?
We'll always remember our angel baby: BFP 9/24/10, M/C 10/23/10 8w4d
These are *better* products, but your best bet is to just make your own. They come in plastic bottles which has an environmental cost in production, shipping, and disposal/recycling. They are mostly liquid products which are heavier than dry products and thus require much greater energy use for shipping.
If you MUST buy over making this is a good move to make. If it was between Method and, say, Clorox GreenWorks, I'd go with Method hands down. But, it isn't the most EF or cheapest option.
As to making your own- I wrote about it in this blog entry...
