Babies: 9 - 12 Months

That makes 4 ear infections in 1 month.

DS had a double ear infection at the beginning of last month.  We treated it w/ amoxacillin and had into the pedi two weeks later to be checked out, doc said they were almost perfect, but not worth treating again yet.

Well, lo and behold.  They're back - both sides.  I don't mind that we didn't do another dose of antibiotics right away because they still aren't that bad ("not horribly red or swollen") but I'm sad for him; he's on Omnicef now.

FWIW, I asked the doc if it could be hereditary; I had horrible ear infections as a kid (didn't need tubes, tho) and throughout college.  He said yes, it could be b/c he could have the same shape of ear canal; and if it doesn't drain well that'd be an ongoing problem

I'm sorry DS!  You not only got mommy's sticking out ears (which are cute) but my sucky ear canals, too.
