Problems with ac adapter of medala pump?

I am using the Double Ease Medela breast pump.  I bought it new 3 years ago for my first DD and am using it again for my 2nd DD.  Out of the blue the ac adapter stopped working. There seems to be a problem where the plug meets the pump.  If I wiggle it around or readjust the cord, it will work.  Otherwise its just dead. I should mention that the pump works fine on the batteries.  Has anyone heard of this problem? I called Medela and all they could tell me was that the Double Ease has been discontinued and they haven't heard of this problem.  (Although can't help but wonder why they discontinued the double ease.... hmmm....)
