Fort Worth or Dallas Zoo??

I have not been to the FW Zoo in forever and I can't remember if it's that much better than the Dallas one. Which do you think is better?

I now have Tues and Thur off work and thinking about taking the kiddos to the zoo. So far, working part time is great!

I have not been to the Dallas Zoo, but the Ft. Worth Zoo is AWESOME. It's really nice, has lots of shaded areas to stay out of the sun. Definitely go in the middle of the week and early in the day if you can ... it tends to get crowded. Have fun!

I'm not a huge fan of either one.  But just having moved here from San Diego, you can probably understand why.  The lay out of both was poorly planned & for us the one in Ft Worth just isn't worth the drive more than maybe once a yr.  The Ft Worth Zoo seems newer but for my time & $ the Dallas Zoo is a better value.  We're probably going to buy memberships to the Dallas Zoo as my DH & I are big zoo people. 

Our all time favorites are #1 the Wild Animal Park in CA, #2 St. Louis Zoo in MO & #3 San Diego Zoo in CA.  Everything else we've seen is just average.

The Dallas Zoo is horrible. My company did a community project there a couple years ago to help clean it up and we didn't make a dent in the place. The Ft Worth Zoo is awesome!!

I feel bad but i was not all that impressed with the FW Zoo either, but i chalk that up to being spoiled and going to Busch Gardens (Tampa) almost weekly.

Ft Worth is waaay better than Dallas. The one in Dallas is not in a great neighborhood either, so I wouldn't want to go there alone anyways.

I haven't been to the Dallas zoo (DH said it kinda sucked).

I really like the Ft. Worth Zoo.

I didn't think the Dallas zoo was that bad, but the Ft Worth one rocks. ?(no San Diego, but it's nice )

I was born and raised in Dallas and I don't think I've ever been to the Dallas Zoo. We've always gone to the Ft. Worth Zoo. Even though I don't have anything to compare it to, I still think it's a great zoo to visit!

The only time I've been to the Dallas Zoo, both the giraffes and otters were like gone somewhere!  I was disappointed... but I only got to go to half of the zoo, cause my DD was done!
