Do you keep trying and how often? I tried Green beans last night and she was screaming and crying not wanting them. I finally gave up because I did not want to force her to eat them. When should I try again? TIA
Try again today. DS isn't a big fan of green beans on their own, so I mix applesauce or yogurt with them. Every few bites, I'll give him straight beans so he doesn't ONLY taste them with the sweeter foods mixed in.
I couldn't hide green beans in anything, she found them! After a few attempts I gave up- she would spit them out and then she gagged on them. If she doesn't like them, she doesn't like them. I think maybe they will be better finger food than blended.
DS doesn't like sweet peas. It's the only food, so far, that he doesn't like. When he tastes the peas, he makes a face and, if he's tired, will cry. I keep trying them every couple of weeks. He's eaten them without complaint when I mix them with pears (because then it just tastes like pears), but I want him to get used to the taste of sweet peas on their own. I also alternate between something he likes and then a spoonful of sweet peas. I have a bunch of containers of sweet peas, so I'll keep trying them until they're gone. Sometimes it takes awhile for them to aquire a taste. If he still doesn't like them after he's eaten what I have, I'll wait awhile before trying them again. I haven't tried green beans yet, but I'm thinking he won't like those either.
