My DD has her first Ped appt on monday but last night & this morning she will only sleep if someone is holding her. As soon as you put her down she starts sreaming I think its because she's so gassy. Should I call to get her in sooner?
we had the exact same thing happen! normally DS is a very good sleeper and right after we brought him home he had a night/day when he refused to be put down (he had 2 more over the course of the next 2 weeks). i ended up calling the doctor and taking him in, but nothing was wrong. it was about when his reflux was really starting up and the doctor thought that was likely the problem. maybe try inclining her mattress (which didn't work for DS) or setting her in her car seat (that seemed to have better results).
it couldn't hurt to give the doctor a call and have her checked out. i know it makes for a long night!
sounds like gas, reflux, or possibly even her ears. ?is she running a temp? ?have you tried mylicon for gas? ?i know plenty of parents feel it isn't effective to take gas pains away, but I've always had good luck wiith it. ?If you are still uneasy, call the pedi. ?That's why they get paid the big bucks!!
