Pump is on the fritz..recommend yours..

I've been using my old Medela pump 3-4x daily now for 4 months.  Just today the tubing backed up with milk..have no idea why and got into the machine.  It actually leaked out of the machine onto me.  I'm not sure that this means I have to get a new pump, but I've been looking and would like to know which one you would recommend for a working mom who pumps 3-4x daily? TIA!

  • my medela quit too and i got a lansinoh.  it is much more effective! doesn't come with a bag, but i have 4 extra diaper bags, so i just made one the bag i keep the pump in.  i like it a lot. and it's much less expensive then medela!

  • I have the Medela PISA advance and LOVE it!  I would also call the company and see if they can tell you what went wrong.  They may even replace it for you..
  • I have the medela freestyle and love it. Its small and great for working moms. I got mine for 285 at awaybabyrentals.com. Also you can always call medela and they will send you new tubing also you can see if they can help you fix something with your old pump

Ditto this. Also the Lansinoh is a closed system (no chance for milk to get into tubing) and only $150!
