What solids do you give your 8 mo?

What solids other than baby food, puffs, ect do you give your 8 month old? I am scared to try things... but want to see what others are doing!!

    At that age DD was eating pizza crust (it's nice cuz she could chew on it and only little pieces of very soggy stuff would she actually be able to eat), bread (I'd give her little bits of balled up bread), veggies out of soups (cuz they're mushy)

    DS eats steamed veggies, pancakes, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, pasta, toast...

    But everything I give him is cut up into TINY pieces!
