I sterilzed right after I bought them and then just the nipples one time and haven't sterlized since.
DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption
I run our bottles and nipples through the dishwasher every few times. I have thick BM and sometimes the bottles get a film if they haven't been through the dishwasher in awhile. Otherwise I just use a bottle brush and let them air dry.
I sterilized everything before we used it for the first time. Now I just use the dishwasher for bottles and some hard toys, but hot water and dish soap for the rest... maybe once a week.
