when to stop sterilizing?

has anyone stopped sterilizing bottles, nipples, etc?

DD puts all of her toys, bibs, etc. in her mouth so i'm thinking what's the point of continuing to sterilize her feeding stuff?

thoughts? advice? thanks :)

Re: when to stop sterilizing?

  • Embarrassed I sterilzed right after I bought them and then just the nipples one time and haven't sterlized since.

  • I run our bottles and nipples through the dishwasher every few times. I have thick BM and sometimes the bottles get a film if they haven't been through the dishwasher in awhile. Otherwise I just use a bottle brush and let them air dry.
  • I sterilized everything before we used it for the first time. Now I just use the dishwasher for bottles and some hard toys, but hot water and dish soap for the rest... maybe once a week.
