Okay, so my sister started her own dance studio this past fall. ?A couple months after Jack was born she asked for my help teaching classes. ?She also asked that I join her and my other sister in our own little tap class. ?My background is in gymnastics but said that I would be willing to learn if she wanted to teach me. ?She said that we would also be performing at the end of the year just like her students.
I told her, sure I'll do it as long as you promise I do not have to wear one of those scary spandex outfits! ?She laughed and told me we would be wearing t-shirts that promote the studio and like yoga pants. ?So I was in.
Yesterday she pulls out one of those outfit books and points to a scary spandex outfit for us! AHHHHHHH. LOL?
I said, "um I thought I didn't have to wear spandex... " ?She rolled her eyes and started pointing to other similar outfits. ?My other sister who is also helping teach dance gave me the "omg she actually wants us to wear that" look. ?My sister is like a size 4 and I'm a size 12, not to mention I'm a DD and she's an A. ?None of those outfits are going to look good on me. ?I'm going to be spilling out of them on the top and did I mention they were SPANDEX? ?I'm like freaking out.
Should I push for what we agreed to or grin & bare it? ?I'm really not one of those people who are hung up on appearance, I mean I don't care who sees me in a bathing suit, but on a stage with lights tap dancing with everything moving every which way... people are suppose to stare. ?I'm mortified!
Re: Am I being unreasonable?
There is no way in hell I would be agreeing to that!
Just tell her that you were under the impression that you were not going to wearing some rediculous outfit. Thanks but no thanks
Nope, I wouldn't do it!
Ditto this!
