Babysitting at the Y.

I was just talking to one of my college friends who lives nearby. ?She belongs to the local Y and goes many times during the week. ?She drops her 2 kids off at the babysitting services (2 y/o and 4 m/o) which is free with membership. ?They watch babies who are 6w or older. ?

While money is a little tight and I'm not always the best about making the most of my gym memberships, I'm considering this for a few reasons:

--It would force me out of the house.

--Babysitters could watch C while I exercise, no more worrying about how much time I have during naps (our treadmill resides in our unfinished basement, so taking him down there during awake time is out of the question)

--I'd be able to exercise and hopefully drop some poundage.

--I'd be able to hang out with my friend. ?She and I swam together in college so we're used to working out together.

Would you join and leave your baby with the sitting service??

I am going tomorrow to reup my membership because I froze it when I was pregnant and yes, I am bringing my DD. My friends use their babysitting service and it is one of the only gyms here that will take babies as young as 6 weeks. I figure if I feed and change her diaper before they will not have to do much with her. So, yes I think it is worth it!
