Dried blood in belly button?

DS's cord stump fell off about 5 days ago and there was some dark dried blood in there at first. Now, a few days later, there seems to be some more dried blood-- some red and some a bit darker. Is this normal?

same with DS - doc wasn't concerned at his appoint.

Same thing happened with our son. My doctor just said to keep putting the alcohol on it as usual until it dried up. I took about a week to heal. She said as long as it did not look like a lot of blood, we should not be concerned.

same here - no worries! it took a little while until it was all gone
