My department did a boy/girl poll for me.  The bet was $5 each person.  Then when I announced the sex, I had to think of a number, everyone chooses a number from the hat, and whoever had the number wins the pot.  The pot was $75.

So my coworker won and then she turns around and hands me the envelope and says it was for the baby!

I couldn't take it.  I should have but I didn't because she has a 3 month old at home and no one threw a shower for her so she still has some stuff to buy (and the nursery isn't finished).

But damn...that was really nice.  I don't think I would have done the same LOL

That really is sweet!  You were sweet to make sure she kept it.  Congrats on your little princess!  I must have missed your big u/s results!
