2nd Trimester

Baby movement disappearing

I've felt movement on and off from 14 weeks until a few days ago.  It was never really regular but it was there and now I haven't felt anything in a few days.

Is this normal?  I'm a little concerned but I also realize that little one could have moved to another location and I can't feel them for right now.

Re: Baby movement disappearing

  • Don't expect constant movement till 28 weeks.

  • It's normal for it to come and go early on, but if you're concerned definitely talk to your doctor!

  • It's normal until around 28 weeks.  I still haven't felt much movement and am almost 22 weeks, but my placenta is anterior so that is probably part of the reason.

The same thing is happening to me between 15-17 weeks I felt alot now it seemed to settle down but I know the baby is ok.....! I am sure we shouldnt worry!! Tomorrow is my big u/s....Yay!

  • It IS normal, but just like you I get nervous when I realize its been a while since I felt anything.
  • I think the baby is okay.. i have on and off movement as well... i try not to think too much about it since baby is still small.
  • Same thing happens with me.  I feel movement then none for a few days.  I read the baby is most active after you eat a meal so maybe watch for it then and don't worry!!  I get nervous too though!
