2nd Trimester

Everything is ok...but I still feel nervous.

Yesterday afternoon and today I didn't feel the baby moving much at all. I have felt very consistent movement so I decided to call my Doctor.  They had me go in at 9:30 for an ultrasound.  Luckily, everything was ok.  I have NOT been a very nervous person during my pregnancy.  Even though I know everything is ok with the baby I still feel really anxious and nervous. Anyone else have this anxious feeling even after learning everything is fine?

  • Yup. It just takes a few days to pass. I've gone to L&D a couple of times, and it took a couple of days to calm down and get back into the groove of things. Wink Glad everything is ok!
  • I think this is normal. At least I hope it is. I am anxious and nervous all the time. It's not about the same things, but we all have our own issues. I think the most important thing is to not stress over them. I know it's easier said than done, but just try to relax.

ditto for me too. I get nervous all the time that something will be wrong but I have always been pretty paranoid.

  • I freak out all the time and worry all the time and am anxious all the time (see a pattern).

I had some weird pains on and off last night while I was sitting on the couch - it was prob the ute growing or how I was sitting so I decided to check Baby's heart with my doppler.

I started to listen and couldn't find the heart beat....I started freaking out..then I found a HB that was in the 80s...I freaked out even more thinking her HR was really low (which it was clearly MY HR).  I started crying....DH told me to calm down and he took the wand and found her..she was just in a different spot but her HR was around 135-145 - which is normal for her.

DH keeps telling me to try to relax since everything I feel - the anxiety, etc - the baby feels too.

  • I get nervous a lot and then I calm down after a few days. Sometimes you just have to let go of your fears and know whatever happens Happens for a reason
