Stupid baby store!

I just called to pay the down payment on our crib set. DH and MIL went there Saturday to browse, found a set they liked, and found that it was on a really nice sale. They were told that the sale would be continuing for awhile and we could just call Monday and pay over the phone once I looked at everything. We didn't want to pay anything until we made sure we researched it and we knew that was what we wanted.

I call today and OF COURSE the girl said that "the last set for that price was sold on Saturday." I asked "Why in the hell weren't they told that Saturday then? Your store told us a flat-out lie." Of course she had no answer, only to say that the owner would give us a free mattress now. Whatever. The price is now $500 more than what we were going to have to pay. I doubt a mattress would cover that.

I'm soooo annoyed. We love that set. DH is on his way up there now. I feel sorry for whoever is working there today. Not really.
