Changed dr.'s today... BIG U/S in 1 1/2 hrs!!!

I have been having a lot of problems with my (now previous) OB doctor and, as a result, my husband and I decided it'd be best to change doctors.  We met our new doctor this morning - let me just say, what a sweetheart she is!  She's already taken my high risk status seriously and got me in to see a perenatologist right away - I meet with him in 1 1/2 hrs!   My last doctor started out saying I was high risk and then refused to send me to a specialist - I spent 5 weeks begging to see a specialist only to be told "I feel like I am fully capable of handling your case, and they'll probably just tell you to come back to let me handle it anyway"  (Just a little history, my "high risk" status comes from being dilated to 3 cm @ 26 wks with my 1st baby and then delivering @ 34 wks.  Plus, this pregnancy is following the same pattern with warning signs / symptoms.. yikes!)

I'm excited to see the specialist and get an opinion that I can trust.  Plus, he'll be doing the 20 wk ultrasound today!  Wooohooo!!!

Let's just hope that my little darling is still a girl because I just bought all her bedding today!

That is awful your OB wouldn't let you see a specialist! I'm very happy you switched, are already happy and that you get to see the specialist today! I'll think pink for you today- good luck!

I am also glad that you switched drs and found someone who will listen to you. I put off switching with my 1st pregnancy until 27 weeks! (Although I did get an extra u/s out of it, LOL) Good for you!
