We didnt.. we bought it. But If I was registering for it. I would say do each thing seperate this way if its $$ people can get some of each., you know?
We bought our bedding set (which included comforter, valence, sheet, diaper stacker, bumper, and dust ruffle) and registered for the accessories (lamp, rug, mobile, etc).

We went ahead and purchased the set, but registered for all the accessories not included in the set (lamp, changing pad cover, wall art, diaper stacker, etc.)
we didn't - we bought it ourselves. we decided on a few items we'd buy ourselves (bedding, furniture, stroller), registered for the rest, and will buy whatever isn't bought off the registry.
For our 1st we registered for the set then also a few more fitted sheets. I would also recokmmend registering for a few flannel sheets for the winter time.
We picked out a bedding set, than registered for the accessories only as well as the seperate crib sheets and a breathable bumper. I figured since you are not supposed to use the quilt and there is so much conrovery over the bumper, what is the point of paying $150+ for those items when I don't "need" a dust ruffle and I can register for the sheets seperately.
