I feel guilty for even registering...whoa.....I will have to go in store (Walmart) to add some reasonable items...are people really showering in this economy?
My bedding is ridiculous! I was like NO ONE is going to buy that, but we'll get a % off .... so thats a plus I guess
I registered for maybe 4 big ticket items ... I say big ticket cuz there 100 and above ..... and then for lower items, bottles, blankies, bath crap and onsies.
I guess I will be surprised eventhough I know whats on there! lol
I haven't done it yet but have started researching and am thinking the same thing! I will definately feel bad putting some of it on there. I'm thinking I will be getting a lot of clothes and diapers-I can't imagine anyone actually buying some of this stuff!

I agree baby stuff is SO expensive! The way I see it is, in my family everyone has a predetermined amount that they are planning on spending based on what you give for thier shower or what type of relative (cousin, 2nd cousin ect) and we basicly stick to that. My friend just had a baby and had a babyshower by mail and pretty much got everything off her registry. She said I'll be suprised what people buy for a baby shower.
It's insane how expensive some items can be, but if nothing else, you'll get a coupon for it if no one buys it for you. I've already told my family that I don't expect them to purchase any of the super expensive things we've put on there.
Then again, you never know, someone might get some of it for you. DH and I registered for a flat screen television when we got married, and my dad ended up buying it for us.
I agree. I have done parts of my registry... there is a lot of expensive stuff available- but I feel bad asking for it- I do know, however, that my work friends will likely go in on something together and some of my husbands family will likely do larger group gifts- so I don't worry too much about it... whatever isn't fulfilled off our registry- we will get to use the discount on
we registered for a lot today too, and wouldn't ya know - I have expensive taste in baby stuff. I'm usually super cheap, but we ended up going with the most expensive options for a lot of things. I told my mom that I do not expect people to buy us everything, and she said to just put it on there, ya never know what people will buy.
Re: Just registered..baby stuff is over the rainbow expensive
I did the same today too!!!!
