My poor sick babies :(

Well at about 8:45ish.. I lifted the blanket to the animal cage ( I have sugar gliders) and there's one laying on the bottom of the cage.. not moving. The other one was just sitting there next to him, like huddled over his head. They are very social bouncy creatures so this is NOT normal.. well it looked like the one was dead until I noticed he was trying to lift his head... well I called my parents and they came over, my dad picked him up and he's SUPER cold, they both are really.... and he's just not moving, breathing, but not moving, won't eat or drink... it doesn't look good. And so he put him in a box with washcloths to try and warm him up, there's food and water in the box and then we put that box in the cage.. well the other one is sitting in the corner of it acting funny..

So.. if they don't live through the night, I'm NOT buying anymore animals... EVER! And to top it all off.. they have to do this 2 days before FI comes home!

Oh and I feel I need to mention that not a SINGLE freaking vet around here takes them!!! So there's literally NOTHING I can do except sit and wait! I even called the Cornell Animal Hospital which is over an hour away and they don't know squat!

i'm sorry your gliders are sick!  we use to have two and you're right, thats not normal behavior at all.  i hope they're ok

I'm so sorry!! ?I hope they get better! ?You may want to try a heating pad or some sugar paste... I don't know much about your animals, but I have two chihuahuas, and I had one who acted like that and they just had really low blood sugar... ?

you could also put a heating pad in the cage with them to help keep them warm.

How are the babies?  Could you try calling a out of town vet for advice?  I know 2 vets where I live who take exotics.  Actually, one of the vet techs at my vet has sugar gliders.
