So, maybe it's the hormones, but...
I HATE DH's friend!
Our crib came in today, so DH calls this guy to come help him assemble it. So, he comes... which is nice of him, and I should be grateful... but I just want to stab him!
He's one of these guys that has a faux-hawk (you know, fake mohawk), which makes him look like a tool. He also say's "bra" alot (as in "Hey bra, how'sit hangin?!") And to top it all off, he and his wife have 2 kids - both of which she delvered at home, under their kitchen table, with no pain meds. Now, while I have no problem with this - I hink it's wonderful if that's your choice - it's not our choice. And they basically think we're bad parents b/c I choose to go to the hospital and will most likely get an epidural.
Oh, he also has a speech impediment. Which is mean of me to point out. But as I mentioned, he's a tool.
I think I need some chocolate.

Do you have something to say? I don't get it. She came on here and said she HATES this guy for the way he speaks (likely b/c he has a speech problem it seems) and stuff and then doesn't even use proper grammar. I'm not saying we all have to 100% of the time (I'm sure we don't), but those in glass houses.....
Hate is a pretty strong words for the flaws she's pointing out. I just found it ironic is all. Do you have an issue?
I hate when people say 'bra'!!! I second the throat punch. At least then he might not be able to talk.

We got a card from one of DH's friends last week that was a very sweet card with a little ducky on the front, but he ruined it by writing "now you're a MILF!" on the inside. It was our first baby card and was all excited to put it into the baby book... not now!!??

You obviously have something to prove if you feel the need to bring up a past issue. I simply rolled my eyes because 1) really are we 5 and need to point out someone's grammer mistake and 2) so what if she doesn't like this guy because of the way he talks? YOU don't like me because of something I said so how does that make you any differant than her?

Actually, I have a minor in english, and it is acceptable both ways. Although you missed that I left an "l" of the end of hospital. Perhaps it's b/c I type fast and sometime's don't proofread my posts. But anyhoo....
His speech impediment isn't why I dislike him. He has that thing that kids get when they just get braces and they sound all...spit-y. But he doesn't have braces. So, it's not what gets me, it's just like the cherry on the top. If he were nice, I wouldn't say anything.
I think if he gets to be a an asshat, so do I.

We all know you feel everybody else here is too stupid to be able to go up two posts and just read the thread and want to take up as much space as you can with all your nonsense quoting and fifteen inch signature block, but it's just stupid to over and over again quote the same material.

Are you really that dense? I took issue w/ the way you used the word "retarded" (so did everyone else on the board!) and then my problem with this post was a woman hating someone and making fun of them because of a speech impediment and calling them a tool. That's the same thing. ESPECIALLY w/ the grammar issue (yes, grammar is spelled w/ 2 A's).

Honestly, I don't really care all that much, I just thought the whole thing was ironic and in light of this morning's "retarded" fiasco with the girl who had to come rolling her eyes, I found it even more interesting to make fun of his speech impediment and call him a tool for it after saying you hate the guy. We all make grammar and spelling mistakes, I'm really not all that picky and would never point it out otherwise, the irony just got to me.

She said she hates the guy. (To me, none of the things she listed are reason to HATE somebody) then made fun of the way he speaks. Then went on to say he has a speech impediment and is a tool. Fine, if that's the way she feels, but I just thought it odd that she was ridiculing his speech and used "alot". I guess I am the only one to see the irony here. It's called humor.
