itchy nipples?

Hello Mamas! I dont post often, but i need a little help. Iam 18 weeks with my first......all this week my nipples have been itching so bad. I have switched bras, put creams on them and they still itch. My DH picks with me and says everytime he sees me im scratching my nips! LOL

a friend suggested lanolin and that they are probably just swelling ( which they are).....any other remedies and suggestions. thanks

J&J baby oil gel has been my saviour! I slather that stuff all over and it has cured my looking like a monkey with fleas!

The only thing you can do is keep them moisturized. Sounds like a normal pregnancy thing (unless you start to notice a rash).

I use Boob Tube from Mama Mio and it has worked great. No dry or itchy nips.

I'll second that!  I also found that mine itch really bad in regular bras, so I try to wear sports bras as much as possible.  Just try not to scratch-I did that and ended up with a scab/scar on my nipple.  Keep moisturized, and good luck!

I've just been using a regular body lotion for extra dry skin. I couldn't use lanolin since I'm super sensitive to it.

I'm in my 17rh week with my first.  My breasts itched so bad I wanted to tear them off.  I actually took my bra off in work one day.  Lotions made it worse.  Try Benedryl gel or cream.  It's with all the anti itch creams it works in seconds.

I have been feeling the same thing. Before dh put some lotion on them for me. Ha he seemed to enjoy it. So I guess he will doing that everynight too.
