I've got issues with placentas. Of the births I've watched (videos, not IRL) seeing the baby come out doesn't bother me. But watching that big blob of placenta roll out. GAG!
My dad (who was quite a hippy back in the day) used to tell my mom that he wanted to save the placenta to make soup. He never had any intention of doing it - just wanted to torture her. Can't imagine why they aren't married anymore!
Re: Placenta: what not to do
Oo I don't even want to click the link! I just read the section in my baby book about the placenta and what different cultures do with it.
I didn't even see my daughters placenta, but am curious to see it this time.
